|TWINKLE BABIES 2-3
Our exclusive Twinkle Babies Dance class is a 45 minute introductory dance class containing ballet, creative movement and basic tumbling. Young dancers will learn the basic steps while learning how to follow direction and imitate movement in a positive environment. Engaging music is used to get these little dancers inspired to dance. The use of props such as dancing bears, hula hoops and maracas, enables the young dancers to use their imagination, creativity and, most of all, have fun!
|TWINKLE STARS 3-5
Twinkle Star Dance is an age specific 1 hour class containing ballet, tap, jazz/creative movement and tumbling. The purpose of the class is to introduce young dancers to the three styles of dance and inspire movement and creativity within a positive environment. Dancers will also learn basic steps and terminology in all three styles. For example, all dancers will learn what a plie is and how to demonstrate one. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers minds and bodies. The use of props such as maracas for the freeze dance makes the end of class the most fun!
Twinkle Star Dance is an age specific 1 hour class containing ballet, tap, and jazz/creative movement. The purpose of the class is to introduce young dancers to the three styles of dance and inspire movement and creativity within a positive environment. Dancers will also learn basic steps and terminology in all three styles. At this level, students will use the ballet barre to learn traditional ballet technique. Tap will combine the study of rhythm, precision and fluidity of movement. Jazz will include isolations, turns, jumps and leaps. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers minds and bodies.
A combination of jazz/hip-hop and ballet/tap are all included at this level. Students will learn how to incorporate dance steps into combinations. The combo class is designed in an effort to perk and maintain students interest while exposing them to several styles of the performing art, therefore providing a well rounded dance education.
A combination of jazz/hip-hop, tap and ballet are included. Technique and dance combinations will become more advanced at this level.
|BALLET & POINTE
Includes traditional barre and center work designed to build a beautiful, graceful, and healthy body with fine posture and poise. After sufficient study of ballet students are advanced to pointe. Students must be enrolled in a ballet class to study pointe.
Jazz dancing includes stretches, isolations, turns, hops, jumps, leaps and choreographed combinations. This class provides a progressive system of exercises and physical toning and strengthening of the body. Students will develop style and solid control through jazz dance.
A fun form of dance where rhythmic sounds are created by the feet. This lively class combines the study of rhythm, precision and fluidity of movement and style. Tap dancing is an excellent way to increase the coordination between mind and body.
Hip-Hop is an energetic and contemporary form of dance inspired by today's hit dances and upbeat music. It emphasizes on body isolations, movement and rhythm.
A form of Hip-Hop using rapid acrobatic movements and poses in which different parts of the body touch the ground. Using techniques from classical forms of dance, Break Dance requires and improves strength and balance.
Refers to the unique style of jazz dance that expresses emotional sentiment through the use of the balletic line and music. Lyrical is a lovely dance style for the ballet and jazz dancer.
Contemporary dance is developed from modern and post-modern dance. It is a compilation of different styles of dance, including lyrical, classical ballet and modern dance. Contemporary concentrates on themes, concepts and revisionism.
This class will begin with a full body stretch and fifteen minutes of strengthening. The remainder of the time is spent on skill development with each student. Students will learn basic tumbling skills, such as forward and backward rolls, straddle rolls, backbends, cartwheels, handstands and will move on to more difficult skills such as round-offs, backward walkovers, and handsprings just to name a few. We will mix tumbling skills with basic dance movements to create a fun and energizing acrobatic routine for the year end recital!
